Yes, we perform warranty work on generators that we have installed or have consistently seen in the past. If you are a new customer, we will need to do a site visit to help determine if your generator is still serviceable or under warranty.
We typically do not perform any landscaping work. In some cases, we will need to, and it comes at an additional cost. Regarding finishing work, we do not complete this type of work.
Yes, all major manufacturers of standby generators recommend that the generator gets serviced at least once per year. Some manufacturers will not honor the manufacturer warranty on your generator if it has not been properly maintained, resulting in higher repair costs to you.
No, we do not. We already have an existing inventory of standby generators direct from the manufacturer ensuring that we do not run in to any purchasing issues with other 3rd party vendors.

Yes, we do offer a variety of options. For our Generac and Kohler customers, Greensky Financing and Synchrony Financing are available to apply for. Both offer a variety of flexible financing plan options.
It is highly recommended that you do not attempt to install a standby generator by yourself. Many do not realize the level of detail and experience required to install one, resulting in critical steps being missed during the installation process. If you have your preferred electrician install your standby generator, they are likely missing the training from the manufacturer to properly install the generator to manufacturers standard. Both options can result in your warranty not being honored by the manufacturer when it does fault and the generator not being successfully activated with the manufacturer.
Yes, these permits are required by state law for all contractors to apply for in order to make sure that the work being done remains in compliance with building codes.
You will only need to be home for one of the two permits required to install a generator. Homeowners are required to be home for their electrical inspections. Mechanical inspections are conducted on the exterior of the home and are not required to enter the home in most cases.

Installation depends on various factors such as generator location in relation to the electrical panel and gas meter or generator size. However, if you know whether you would like to power part of your home (10-16 circuits) or your entire home, you can use the following price ranges:

  • Partial home- $10,000 to $15,000
  • Whole home (excludes liquid cooled generators)- $12,000- $21,000

To find out how big your air conditioning unit is, look at the label on the outside and find the number in BTUs. Divide that number by 12,000 to get the tonnage of your unit. Look for a two-digit number between 18 and 60 in the model number or a three-digit number that starts with 0. 

  • 018 = 18,000 BTUs = 1.5 tons
  • 024 = 24,000 BTUs = 2 tons
  • 030 = 30,000 BTUs = 2.5 tons
  • 036 = 36,000 BTUs = 3.0 tons
  • 042 = 42,000 BTUs = 3.5 tons
  • 048 = 48,000 BTUs = 4.0 tons
  • And So On.

If you can’t find the BTUs, estimate by the square footage of your home. If your home has multiple condenser units, add up the square footage of each area they cover to estimate the tonnage needed.

  • 1600 square feet = 2.0 tons
  • 2000 square feet = 2.5 tons
  • 2400 square feet = 3.0 tons
  • 3000 square feet = 3.5 tons
  • 3600 square feet = 4.0 tons (may be 2 separate condensers)
  • 4200 square feet = 4.5 tons (usually 2 separate condensers)
  • 4800 square feet = 5.0 tons (usually 2 separate condensers)
  • 5400 square feet = 5.5 tons (usually 2 separate condensers)

If you are installing the NEMA 14-50 outlet, you will not need to provide one for us to install. However, if you choose to install a wall charger, you can provide the one of your preference for us to install. If you do not have one, we have WallBox wall chargers available to install.
It takes roughly between 2-5 hours depending on the length of the distance between your charger and electrical panel.
A Level 2 charging option ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 without the wall charger unit. If you would like to have us provide you a WallBox wall charger unit, it would be an additional $700.
We use both indoor and outdoor rated materials. So, it is where you think it will be best for you to charge your vehicle.
Yes. The installation of a 240-volt electrical appliance requires a permit from your jurisdiction. We handle the permitting application process for you and will leave a copy of the permit on site for inspection when we are done.
Yes, if we are unable to perform your inspection virtually, you will be required to be home for your electrical inspection. The electrical inspector will need access to your panel in order to perform the inspection.

We will recommend that we install a subpanel at an additional cost to installing the EV charger.
This is a common issue with households with 125amp electrical services at their homes. We recommend a service upgrade, which we can assist with and perform for you. We will work with you and your electrical company to perform the upgrade to ensure that the service lines are upgraded. Depending on the scope of work, this price ranges heavily.
Yes, and No. The Ford Connected Charge Station is compatible with most other electric vehicles, this is 48-AMP charger. The Ford Charge Station Pro is not compatible with other vehicles, as it supports bi-directional charging and has a specific connector that prevents it from use on other vehicles. The Ford Charge Station Pro is 80-amps of power.
It is both indoor and outdoor rated. However, most customer prefer to have it located inside of the garage for convenience.
No, it is not. Some homes require service upgrades or other additional work in order to install the charger and Backup Power system.
